Ribbons are awards you earn by completing various FarmVille tasks, and they pay out XP and coins. My favorite ribbons to earn XP are the ones that are free, easy, or earned automatically while doing other XP-earning activities. My picks for best XP-earning ribbons are:

Cat Lady Ribbon
[TOTAL 1400 XP, 100 XP/minute, FREE]
Earn up to for brushing (harvesting) cats, which you can adopt when your friends post one, receive in a Mystery Box gifted by a friend or in a Christmas Gift, or you can buy one for $9 FarmVille cash.
TIPS: For free approach, adopt lost cats your FarmVille friends post or ask friends to gift you Mystery Boxes. The more cats you have to brush, the faster you’ll earn this ribbon. Cats are ready to brush every 3 days.
- 5 brushings – 50 XP
- 50 brushings – 100 XP
- 100 brushings – 250 XP
- 250 brushings – 1000 XP
Fenced In Ribbon
[TOTAL 1875XP, 65 XP/minute free gift method OR 1 XP/40 coins, FREE if use gifts]
Earn up to 1875 XP by having up to 250 fences on your farm at once.
TIPS: Buying 250 fences would cost you 75,000 coins, but you can ask your FarmVille friends to gift them to you for free.

Pretty Garden Ribbon
[TOTAL 425XP, 41 XP/minute to place bouquets, FREE if use gifts]
Earn up to 425 XP for placing up to 50 bunches of flowers on your farm.
TIPS: You can get these “Perfect Bunches” when FarmVille friends post them to the Facebook feed, or from your garden shed which you can buy for 30,000 coins, and it comes with 10 bunches. The garden shed captures and stores random “Perfect Bunches” as you harvest flower crops you grow.

- 10 bunches – 50 XP
- 25 bunches – 100 XP
- 50 bunches – 250 XP
Local Celebrity Ribbon
[TOTAL 180 XP, 7 XP/minute, FREE]
Earn up to 180 XP when you add up to 50 neighbors.
TIPS: Adding FarmVille neighbors is critical to help you earn more XP by fertilizing your crops, send gifts, posting free items to the feed, etc. Neighbors are great for your XP!
- 5 neighbors – 10 XP
- 8 neighbors – 20 XP
- 25 neighbors – 50 XP
- 50 neighbors – 100 XP
Animal Shelter Ribbon
[TOTAL 425 XP, 6 XP/minute, FREE]
Adopt 15 lost animals your FarmVille friends post to the Facebook feed and earn 425 XP.
TIPS: When a friend posts an animal, click to adopt it, and when the FarmVille screen starts to load, click Home. If the animal had not already been adopted by others, it will be in your gift box next time you enter FarmVille.
- Adopt 2 animals – 25 XP
- Adopt 3 animals – 50 XP
- Adopt 4 animals – 100 XP
- Adopt 15 animals – 250 XP
Architect Ribbon
[TOTAL 1875 XP, 1 XP/16 coins, cost depends on which buildings]
Earn up to 1875 XP by having up to 30 buildings of any type on your farm at once.
TIPS: The least expensive option is buying 30 rest tents for 30,000 coins which earns 300 XP for purchase plus the 1875 XP from this ribbon. Of course, if you have some buildings already, you won’t have to spend this much to earn all the Architect ribbons.
- 2 buildings – 100 XP
- 6 buildings – 250 XP
- 15 buildings – 500 XP
- 30 buildings – 1000 XP
Pack Rat Ribbon
[TOTAL 425 XP, 1 XP/59 coins if use hay bale method]
Earn up to 425 XP for having up to 250 decorations on your farm at once.
TIPS: Buying hay bales earns the most XP per coins spent. 250 hay bales for the blue ribbon would cost 25,000 coins and would earn 425XP for the ribbon plus 1250XP for buying the hay bales (TOTAL of 1675). If you’re buying decorations to earn XP, keep them all on your farm until you earn this ribbon.

- 50 decorations – 50 XP
- 100 decorations – 100 XP
- 250 decorations – 250 XP
Ribbons You Earn While Doing Other XP-Earning Activities
If you’re doing all the good activities to earn XP, such as growing crops and adding to your FarmVille Collections, there are many ribbons you’ll earn automatically along the way, including Good Samaritan Ribbon (help at neighbors’ farms), Cream of the Crops Ribbon (harvest crops), A Pretty PennyRibbon (buy items in the Market), Flower PowerRibbon (harvest flowers), and Cunning CollectorRibbon (complete collections).
